From  Tsugio Kawaguchi  Hanshi 1922-2000

Former President of the AUSKF (All United States Kendo Federation) The 1st Shakai Jin Kendo Tournament, Okinawa 1962
“I first met Ko Baika Sensei in 1962 in Okinawa during a Kendo tournament. This was the first Shakai Jin Kendo Tournament before there was an International Kendo Federation. Ko Sensei was from The Taiwan Kendo Federation. I was with the United States Kendo Federation and we were matched together. It was a fine choice and a challenge for both of us. Our match resulted in a draw and a life long friendship”.

AUSKF(全米剣道連盟)の元会長。

From David Yang Sensei:

I've learned the news from his son Mike after the last Sunday's Iaido seminar that Sensei passed away at 4:00 am. "My father was a true Bushi. He never complained about the pain caused by his illness and I know he would want me to come today and  practice".  Whenever I spoke to him he was always soft spoken and easy mannered but quick to correct my mistake. Ko Sensei is a straight forward, no-nonsense kind of teacher. If you are wrong he would be the first to point it out to you. I personally will miss his kindness and valuable advises.

From Dave Hart Sensei

It is sad to learn of the demise of a great man. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him myself, any person who has the ability to galvanise and enthuse others with the Budo ways will be sorely missed. Please extend our condolences to the family, friends and students of Sensei Ko Baika.
